Kris was our student of the month for November. The Friends University Falcon Softball team handed out our awards. For our assembly, we had the VFW come teach us about flag Etiquette. Then, we did an assembly with the Patriot Riders as guests and sang, "God Bless The U.S.A." Each student received an American flag.

Halloween was a busy day for our students. We started the morning with a school-wide costume parade. Then, we walked to Brookdale Nursing Home and performed a short Halloween program for the residents. We sang 5 songs and did one finger play: 5 Little Pumpkins Sitting on a Gate, 3 Little Witches, 10 Little Pumpkins, Black Cat, I'm A Little Pumpkin, and The Graveyard Song. After our performance, the students got a chance to go trick-or-treating and get a special treat from the nursing home residents. Next, we walked back to Eisenhower for our classroom Halloween party. Our classroom parents had an art activity (ghost windsock) for the students to make. Then we enjoyed cupcakes, drinks, and a special Halloween treat bag with candy and prizes. For lunch, the class enjoyed a pizza party, thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Thomson. After lunch, we watched Monsters vs. Aliens. Then, it was time for PE and Library. At the end of the day, students were excited, as most of them were headed to Trick-or-Treat Down the Street with their parents. Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!! Here are a few of our photos from our day:
