Today we learned about Arbor Day. As a follow-up from Earth Day, we discussed different ways we can help take care of the Earth. We discussed recycling, conserving water, cleaning our environment, and the importance of saving trees. Next, we watched the movie, The Lorax. Finally, we made an art project of the Lorax.

Today the grade that raised the most money for the Eisenhower Color Run was able to color their teachers and the principal. That class was 4th grade! Mrs. Elder, Mrs. Sawyer, and Mr. Adams got a special preview of the Color Run by getting doused with powder. Afterwards, the students that had turned in at least $100 were able to participate in a special water balloon paint fight. It was a little chilly, but they still had a lot of fun!
Today we made Spring Chickens. First, we had to talk about what this expression "Spring Chicken" means. Then, the students had fun making an art project of very unique chickens!
Congratulations to Ellie Hays for being the March student of the month. The special guest this month that presented Ellie with her award was Mr. Bobby Wilson, detective for the Wellington Police Department.
