Today was the first Character Traits Assembly for the school year. We started off the morning with some special guests. The 8th grade football team came to greet each Eisenhower student and teacher for a morning pep assembly. The afternoon assembly had more special guests: the Crusader High School Band & Superintendent, Dr. Whitener ("Dr. W"). Dr. Whitener gave a great presentation about Caring. The September Students of the month were recognized at the end of the assembly. Our student of the month was Kody Wartick. Congratulations, Kody! Way to "Soar Like An Eagle!!" Here are a few photos of our day...
Happy Birthday to our September Birthdays!!
Sept 4: Kody Sept 8: Easton M. Sept 9: Landon Sept 24: Addi Sept 24: Gracie Today, we practiced our spelling words by writing them in shaving cream. Shaving cream sure makes spelling fun!
Today was our Grandparents' Day program in first grade. The students have been working hard learning songs and making gifts for our grandparents. Today, the students performed 4 songs: Welcome to School, Monkeys and The Alligator, My Mother is a Baker, and Tooty Ta. After the music program, we treated our guests to refreshments and gifts made by our students. The students always have a great time having grandparents visit at school. Hopefully, our guests enjoyed it as well. Thank you to each and every guest that was able to join us today! We hope you had a great time! The Wellington Daily News and USD 353 school website manager were here as well taking videos and photos. Be on the lookout for those photos as well. Here are a few that I took during the program:
