January 30th marked the 100th day of school this year. We had a very fun day in first grade celebrating! The students made 100 day crowns to wear using 100 stickers. They also built structures using 100 cups. We also watched a powerpoint of what the students will look like when they're 100 years old.
Happy Birthday Kansas!! On January 29th, Kansas turned 154 years old. We spent the week learning about Kansas. The students made a Kansas coloring book of the state mammal, reptile, insect, flower, amphibian, bird, tree, motto, grass, soil, and seal. We also had several fun dress up days to celebrate the week. One of the dress up days was "Dress Like Your Favorite Kansas Team." We had several K-State, KU, WSU, Royals, and of course Crusader fans! On Thursday, we had "Dress Like A Wizard of Oz Character." Here are some photos of our fun week...
