Halloween was a busy day for our students. We started the morning with a school-wide costume parade. Then, we walked to Brookdale Nursing Home and performed a short Halloween program for the residents. We sang 5 songs and did one finger play: 5 Little Pumpkins Sitting on a Gate, 3 Little Witches, 10 Little Pumpkins, Black Cat, I'm A Little Pumpkin, and The Graveyard Song. After our performance, the students got a chance to go trick-or-treating and get a special treat from the nursing home residents. Next, we walked back to Eisenhower for our classroom Halloween party. Our classroom parents had an art activity (ghost windsock) for the students to make. Then we enjoyed cupcakes, drinks, and a special Halloween treat bag with candy and prizes. For lunch, the class enjoyed a pizza party, thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Thomson. After lunch, we watched Monsters vs. Aliens. Then, it was time for PE and Library. At the end of the day, students were excited, as most of them were headed to Trick-or-Treat Down the Street with their parents. Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!!
