Last October, Eisenhower Elementary had two 5th grade students place in the 5th - 8th grade Sumner County Spelling Bee! Brett Wyckoff, 5th grader, won second place. Jael Cattlet, 5th grader, won first place. Way to go, Eagles!!
On Friday, Eisenhower gave Jael a pep rally before sending her off to Hays, KS to compete in the state-wide Spelling Bee on Saturday. During the assembly, Mr. Adams held a spelling bee competition between Jael and the 5th grade teachers, Mrs. Heasty and Ms. Widen. Jael won!
Then, Mr. Adams issued a proclamation naming March 6, 2015 as "Jael Catlett Day" at Eisenhower Elementary. The fifth grade band ended the assembly by playing a fight song. The students joined in by shouting, GO JAEL!!
Good luck, Jael! We're so proud of you.
