This month our student of the month was Evelyn Ewing. Today our special guest was the Undefeated Lady Crusader Basketball team!! They came and told us what it means to be caring and hard working. They even had a free throw contest with our Eisenhower students of the month for February. The Eisenhower Eagles won 9-8!! As a finale, one lucky student (Maddie Nance) got to give one not-so-lucky teacher (Mrs. Jenkins) a pie in the face.

Dress up week!!!!
Monday - Cat in the Hat (wear a funny hat) Tuesday - Fox on Socks (wear silly socks) Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday (wear mismatched clothes) Thursday - Green Eggs and Ham (wear green) Friday - Oh, the Places You'll Go (wear college or Crusader shirt) This week we read a story called "Mr. Bones, Dinosaur Hunter." Today the students used tooth picks to try to excavate fossils (M&M's and chocolate chips from cookies). They quickly discovered that it was much harder than they thought it would be!
We've been learning a lot about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington for President's Day. Today we made an art project for these two famous presidents.
Our January Student of the Month was Sunni Shore. Way to go, Sunni! Mr. Brandon Wilmoth and Mr. Brady Walker were our special guests this month. They brought several tanned hides and deer antlers for us to see. They told us a little about their hunting guide services and had some special prizes for the students of the month.
